People who type this phrase are not looking for a shop. They are comparing rooms, groups, and invoices. The Netherlands is the one country in Western Europe where a legal psilocybin-truffle ceremony can sit inside a paid weekend. That is why the search exists, and why the first page is full of spiritual and clinical framing and almost empty of published prices.

On 21 August 2026 the German-language version of this query returned nine retreat operators and one aggregator before it returned a single page that said what a weekend actually costs. The English results look the same: atmosphere first, invoice later, often after a form. This page publishes the bands first, then says what those bands do and do not buy.

The substance in every legal Dutch ceremony is the same class of product: fresh sclerotia, sold as truffles, left outside the 2008 mushroom ban. Fresh and dried mushrooms remain prohibited. The difference between a €225 day and a €4,800 villa is not a different molecule. It is who is in the room, what happens before you are allowed in, and whether anyone is still there on Monday.

How much does a retreat cost?

The open market in the Netherlands, measured from public listings on 21 August 2026, sits in four bands.

A one-day ceremony starts around €225 and runs to about €450. Two private days sit between €400 and €600. A weekend with two nights, a group, lodging, food, a preparation conversation and some form of integration is advertised between €1,100 and €1,495. Three-day groups run €600 to €1,200. Five-day programmes start around €1,500. Premium houses publish €3,999 for four days and €4,799 for five. One-to-one private work starts around €1,700. Some operators add the truffles as a separate line of about €30.

Those are list prices, not secrets, and they are still missing from most landing pages that rank for this term.

Our own two formats sit on that same ruler, in public, because hiding the number is a sales tactic and a poor one. The Field Camp weekend is 2.000 €, two-bed room, everything that belongs to the weekend counted in. The Inner Circle is 4.000 €: your own room, a private cook, a group of six, and two follow-up conversations. We publish them because the comparison only works if both sides of it are visible. The full breakdown of what is in each invoice is on the pricing page.

A number by itself is not a recommendation. A €225 day can be the right object if you already have a sober person, a screened history, a room you trust, and a plan for the week after. Most people who find this page do not have those four things, which is why the cheap band is the one that produces the most expensive Tuesdays.

What the cheap band actually buys

The €225–€450 day is a held sitting, not a weekend. You arrive, you are shown a room, you eat, you leave. Some of those days are run by people who have done this work for years. Some are not. The listing rarely tells you which.

What the day rate almost never includes, and what the weekend rate is supposed to include, are the three items that decide whether the afternoon is work or weather:

A medical intake before any place is final. Certain medications and certain histories mean not yet, or not this way. A form that is optional is not an intake. A form that is read is.

Sober facilitators. Not a host who also eats. Not a friend who once did this in a living room. Trained people who stay outside the experience so they can still see the room. Never fewer than two.

Integration that is already inside the price. A conversation the next morning, and at least one scheduled conversation after you have gone home. An open experience with a closed door is how people lose the only part that was worth the travel.

If a page will not say those three things in plain language, the price is not low. It is incomplete.

What a serious weekend includes

The €1,100–€1,495 weekend band is where most of the established Dutch houses sit. The ones worth reading do the same work we do on care, even when they do a different kind of seminar. They screen. They keep the group small. They hold the ceremony in a countryside house, not a city rental that forbids events. They count food, a bed, and the day after as part of the same invoice.

That band is the honest market rate for a held weekend. We sit above it on the Field Camp because the invoice already contains a two-bed room, and inside the premium band on the Inner Circle, and we say so because the comparison is the point of this page. The thing we do not pretend is that a lower number is automatically the wiser one. The wiser one is the invoice that already contains the three items above.

Premium at €3,999 to €4,799 buys silence, a smaller table, and a room you do not share. That is a real good. It is not a different substance and it is not a better guarantee. It is a different container. People who sell for a living sometimes need that container because they will not speak in a dormitory. That is the only reason the Inner Circle exists.

What no band on this list buys is a shortcut through grief, a medical result, or a personality transplant. The book this seminar is built on is blunt about the optional character of the substance:

The main protocol of this book — the Great Reset of Chapter 10 — is fully sufficient without any substance. This annex describes an additional path that, for the right practitioner under the right conditions, can deepen the substrate work further. It is not required reading.

If a retreat cannot say that sentence and still have a reason to exist, it is selling the molecule. The molecule is the cheap part.

What makes a provider serious

Serious is a short list, and it is not a brand voice.

The operator will tell you, before you pay, that the ceremony is optional. In our house the same Saturday is also a breathwork track. Nobody at the table is asked to explain why they chose the sober day. The seminar stands without the truffles. That is not a disclaimer in the footer. It is the product.

The operator will run an intake that can say no. A reserved place is not a pass around that conversation. If the intake says not this way, the money is not the interesting fact. The interesting fact is that someone was still willing to lose the sale.

The operator will name the facilitators as sober and trained, and will say how many of them are in the room. One person holding twelve people is not a ceremony. It is a crowd.

The operator will put integration on the invoice. Not as an upsell the week after, when the experience is still open and the credit card is easier. As part of what you already bought.

The operator will tell you the law in one paragraph. Psilocybin truffles are legal for adults in the Netherlands. Fresh mushrooms are not, and have not been since 2008. Nothing you buy here travels with you. Importing a psilocybin-containing product into the United Kingdom, Germany, France or Belgium is a local drug offence. That sentence is the condition of coming, not a scare line at the bottom of a brochure.

And the operator will say what the weekend is for. Almost every page that ranks for this search is written for spirituality or self-discovery. There is nothing wrong with those rooms for the people who want them. They are not this room. This seminar is for people who sell for a living — founders, closers, sales leads — and who have noticed that the next book on technique will not fix the fourth minute. That is the only business format in this SERP. It is also the reason a price comparison that stops at the molecule is the wrong comparison.

The same annex that refuses to make the substance necessary is the one that refuses to make it casual:

This is not a recreational substance for the Shaman. It is a tool of substrate deepening, used with deliberateness, in the service of the larger practice.

Deliberateness is intake, a sober room, and a week that was cleared before you booked the flight. It is not a day-rate and a hopeful afternoon.

Why the number on the page is the smallest decision

Psilocybin converts to psilocin and acts at the 5-HT2A receptor. Activity in the default mode network drops. Four to six hours pass, the middle two the deepest. That mechanism is the same at €225 and at €4,800. What changes is whether anyone asked about your medication, whether anyone in the room is still sober at hour two, and whether anyone has already booked the conversation for the following week.

The book names the variable that the price bands are really pricing:

The substance amplifies what is present. Present steadiness amplifies into deeper steadiness. Present instability amplifies into deeper instability.

A cheap day in an unsteady week is not a bargain. A dear weekend that already contains the screening and the aftermath is not a luxury markup. It is the cost of not leaving the expensive part of the work to chance.

That is also why we will not publish a gram-by-weight table, a potency ranking, or a strain list on a page that is supposed to help you choose a room. The book itself refuses the number:

The dose is intentionally not specified in this book; the dose is the most context-dependent variable, and naming it here would create more risk than benefit.

A published table cannot see your week. An intake conversation can.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands cost?

Public listings on 21 August 2026 ran from about €225 for a day sitting to €4,799 for a five-day premium house. Held weekends with lodging sit between €1,100 and €1,495. Our Field Camp is 2.000 €, two-bed. The Inner Circle is 4.000 €.

What should be included in the price?

A screening conversation that can refuse you, at least two trained sober facilitators, a group small enough to be a group, a legal truffle ceremony or a sober alternative on the same day, and integration that is already paid for. Food and a bed if it is a weekend. The molecule is the smallest line.

Do I have to take the truffles?

No. In both of our formats the ceremony is optional. The breathwork track covers the same Saturday with the same arc. The seminar does not get weaker if you stay sober. The book says the main protocol is fully sufficient without any substance, and we hold to that.

Is a cheap day retreat enough?

It can be, if you already have the four things the day rate does not sell: a screened history, a sober person who will stay, a room you trust, and a plan for the week after. If you are missing any of those, the cheap band is the wrong band.

Why are some retreats almost €5,000?

They are selling silence, a private room, and a table of six instead of twelve. That is a real difference in the container. It is not a different substance and it is not a medical result. Read the invoice for intake and integration before you read the thread count.

Is this legal for visitors from the UK or Germany?

The ceremony is legal where it happens: in the Netherlands, with truffles, for adults. Your own country is a different statute. The United Kingdom classes psilocybin as Class A. Germany lists it in Anlage I of the BtMG. Crossing a border with the product is the offence. Crossing a border without it is travel.

What this page will not do

It will not rank operators by vibe, and it will not tell you that a higher invoice makes a better person. It will not describe a ceremony as care, and it will not borrow clinical research as a promise about a weekend.

It will tell you the bands, the three items that make a band serious, and the fact that this search result still has no other seminar built for people whose work is the conversation that carries money. If that is not you, the spiritual houses on the first page are the right rooms, and they should be read on their own terms.

If it is you, the next useful page is not another comparison. It is the invoice, in the open, with the intake still standing in front of the payment.
